-Scissors
-An Adult to Help!
Instructions:
- Cut empty paper towel tubes into 1-1/4" rings.

The holes in the paper lid let the smells come out. Perfect!
You Need:
-Clean baby food jar
-Potpourri with a nice smell
-5 inch paper doily (paper circle of lace, OR use a homemade paper snowflake!)
-Rubber band
-Lace trim or fancy ribbon
-Something pretty to decorate (small fabric rose, a gemstone)
-Glue (low temperature glue gun works well)
Instructions:
- Fill jar with potpourri.
- Cover with a paper doily.
- Secure “lid” with a rubber band.
- Tie lace trim around the jar to hide the rubber band or use ribbon.
- Glue the pretty decoration to the lace or ribbon to hide the join.

Golf Ball Dog (paperweight or decoration)
A unique gift idea for any golfer!
You Need:
-7 golf balls (can be used, but clean)
-Craft foam
-Pom-poms, one large white, one small black
-Wiggle eyes
-Ribbon
-Craft glue or low temperature glue gun
-Scissors
Instructions:
- Glue four of the golf balls together to form a square. Also glue two golf balls together. Let these all dry.
- Lay the grouping of four balls on your work surface and then glue the set of two golf balls on top of them. The four golf balls are the dog's legs, and the two golf balls are the body.
- Glue the final golf ball on top of one of the body balls. Set aside to dry.
- While you are waiting for the glue to dry, cut ears and a tail out of craft foam.
- Glue the ears and tail in place on the golf balls.
- Glue on a set of wiggle eyes.
- Glue on the white pom-pom for the snout. Glue the black one onto that for the nose.
- As a finishing touch glue a piece of ribbon around the dog's neck to look like a collar!

Remote Control Holder
No more searching for the remote!
You Need:
-Small cardboard tube container (such as a Pringles Can)
-24 popsicle or craft sticks
-Vinyl or foam or sticker letters spelling "DAD"
-Glue
-Vinyl strips or long stickers
-Rubber band
Instructions:
- Spread a thin layer of glue all over the outside of the small cardboard can.
- Cover the can with craft sticks lining up the bottom of the sticks with the bottom of the can. Hold the sticks in place while drying with a rubber band.
- Glue on the letters spelling "DAD".
- Glue on the strips of vinyl around both the top and bottom edges for trim, or decorate in any way you want.

Secret Jar Safe
Very cool! The outside looks like a jar filled up with junk. The inside holds the treasure!
You Need:
-Medium size wide mouth jar, cleaned (such as a salsa jar)
-Twine or strong string
-Craft foam letters
-Glue or low temperature glue gun
-Nuts and bolts, or pennies, or thumbtacks or safety pins or assorted bits and pieces
-Empty toilet paper tube
-Scrap of cardboard
Instructions:
- Cut the empty toilet paper tube to the same height as the jar.
- Cut a circle out of the scrap of cardboard that will fit inside the jar and rest on the bottom of the jar.
- Glue the cardboard tube on the end to the middle of the cardboard circle.
- Set inside the jar.
- Fill all around the tube with nuts and bolts or your choice of item, leaving the tube empty.
- Glue twine or string on the jar lid, all around the edge beginning at the bottom of the lip. Glue and wrap the string so that the lid is completely covered.
- Glue on letters to spell the name of the person, or I Love You, or whatever you want.
Now the person can fill the inside tube with special stuff and the outside looks like a jar of junk! Super Secret!

Santa Face Ornament
You can hang this jolly face on a tree, in the window or on a doorknob for Christmas festive decoration!
You Need:
- Craft foam or felt, different colours (traditional colours are white, pink, black, red, but Santa looks great in purple, orange, brown and every other colour too!)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Piece of cardboard (cereal box works well)
- Pencil
- Hole punch
- Ribbon
Instructions:
1. Make a template of your shapes. On the cardboard, draw with a pencil:
- 1 triangle (for hat, 6.5 cm sides)
- 1 circle (for pompoms, standard water bottle lid is a good size)
- 1 smaller circle (for cheeks, large marker lid works well)
- 1 very small circle (for eyes, a pen lid size)
- 1 oval (for nose/mouth, a bit taller than marker lid circles and more narrow)
- 1 moustache shape (for moustache, draw it 6.5 cm from tip to tip)
- 1 large cloud shape (for face, draw it no more than 11 cm long and 8 cm across)
2. Cut out all the cardboard shapes. Get an adult to help with scissors! Keep these shapes for always so you can make this anytime!
3. Trace the shapes with pencil onto foam or felt. You will need four (4) of the biggest circles, two (2) smaller ones and two (2) very small circles, and one (1) of everything else. It is a good idea if you have the 2 smaller cheek circles and the oval the same colour, but you can decide!
4. Cut the shapes out. Get an adult to help with scissors!
5. Lay the shapes on top of your cloud (face) to see how it will look. Try to put the pencil marked side facing down.
6. Glue the cheek circles in place. Glue the oval nose/mouth evenly spaced between those two.
7. Lay the moustache over those three pieces and glue it on.
8. Place glue on the top of the head. Stick on the hat triangle.
9. Place glue on the hat piece at the tip and place the circle for the pompom. Place more glue on the bottom of the triangle and place the other 3 circles for the hat’s trim. You will want to also add a bit of glue to the side of each piece, as they should overlap each other.
10. Glue on the last two circles for the eyes. Allow all to dry.
11. Punch a single hole through the top of the hat and string a ribbon through. Tie a knot to form a loop. Hang it anywhere you like as a decoration!
