| Ideas for Homemade Gifts
Handwarmers:
Make a small beanbag sack or use small cloth drawstring bags. Wool or felt works best. Fill with two or three ceramic pie weights. When the bag is placed in the microwave for a short time, it is warmed and can be put in a person’s pocket for outdoor activities.
Recipe Booklet:
Fill a small book with a person’s favourite recipes. Or use your own favourites and make some samples to go with the booklet!
Memory Drawing:
Draw your best picture that shows you and the gift receiver together doing an activity that you both loved! Every time they look at it they will remember this terrific time.
Gingerbread House:
This can be given two ways. You can create and decorate the house and give it to someone, or you can give them the kit and invite yourself over to build it with them!
Trivets:
These are easy to make using single ceramic tiles from the home improvement store. Hot glue some felt on the back and you’re done. You can even co-ordinate with the colours of someone’s kitchen!
REMEMBER – YOU MUST HAVE AN ADULT WITH YOU WHEN USING
MICROWAVE OVENS AND GLUE GUNS!
